OK there are several things you need to be doing right now. You have an OK chart for Genetics and (MY CLASS) has some genetics problems to work on. Once you finish that hug your mom and your grandma and your aunt and your surrogate mother and your friends mother and any other mom you can find because it's Mother's Day on Sunday.
Next you should be thinking about the EOCT on Thursday and Friday.

Here is the USA test prep website. Spend some time with it, note what you do know and what you don't.

This is mainly for the CP Classes.
I know that most of you have either misplaced or totally forgotten about your portfolio project that being said they are due in the relatively near future.

This is the place for you to post any evolution questions you have that I either didn't answer in class, you didn't have in class, or you didn't want to ask in class.

Protist Test

Ms. Laura Smith's class is taking their test on Friday officially. The current plans are to have Ms. Leslie Smith's test on Thursday still, obviously the decision to move it or not will be made today. I will update to confirm.


The test will be on Friday in BOTH classes. Look back here tomorrow night for the answer key for the Review questions. The OK chart answers and SRQ answers will be here later tonight.

Remember- Projects are due Friday too!

Week of March 26th

This week we are covring Protists. Protists are early, simple animals, plants, and fungi. This is the most diverse kingdom and as such contains many very different organisims. What you really need to know, and probably should already know, is that Protists are Eukayotes.

This week we have a test over Protists on Thursday and either a Meet the Microbes project (Ms. Leslie Smith's class) or a Meet the Protists project (Mrs. Laura Smith's Class). Those are the major grades this week. I will post the rubrics for both of those today.

Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Ms. Leslie and Mrs. Laura Smith's Online Biology Classroom. This is the right place for you if you are looking for information on what is happening in our classrooms. Information like what is for homework, when the next test is, what projects are due or if you are looking for more info on what we have covered in class. There will be frequent updates so you will need to check back often. Any feedback you may have here is welcome and I will try my best to answer any questions or at least lead you in the right direction.

This is also a great place for parents and other adults to help keep your child up with their assignments. Your feedback is welcome too. This is not the place to discuss specifics about your child, please e-mail those questions to your student's teacher at her school address.
